Mixed and Girls Competitions

Mixed competitions include both Male and Female players (eg: U9M, U11M, U13M).

Girls competitions are Female-only (eg: U9G, U12G, U14G).

Female players can play in Mixed competition and be 1 year older than the mixed restriction. Eg: A 12yo Female can play in U11M, and a 10yo Female can play in U9M.

Player Age

A childs soccer "age" is determined by subtracting their birth year from the current year. Eg: a child born 04-Aug-2012 would be 13yo in 2025 (can play U13 in 2025). A child born 04-Apr-2015 will be 10yo (can play U11). A child born 09-Jan-2019 will be 6yo (can play U6).

Playing Up

Children younger than the Age bracket are allowed to "play up" in a higher age. However, this needs to be agreed upon by the Child/ Player, the Parent/ Guardian and the Coach/ Manager. The child should have the physical ability (eg: size) or level of skill (experience) to be able to play up in an older Age bracket. Any child that plays 3 or more Games at a higher Age bracket will be placed into that higher Age division. Children can only play up if the receiving team is short of players, and not at the detriment of the Childs primary team (all players registered in the older team are entitled to a full game of play, minus rest or injury time, and not to be benched in preference of the new substitute player).

Game Time

All players that have fully paid registration are entitled to a full game of soccer. Player substitution is at the discretion of the team Coach or Manager, and it is expected that every player will be allowed a minimum of 50% game time on the field. Unregistered players are not allowed to play due to insurance reasons. Players will only appear in Squadi once they have successfully registered. All team Managers/ Coaches are to use Squadi to manage their teams to ensure compliance with registration.

Shin Pads

Shin Pads are required by all players. Any player without shin pads will be sent off. Coaches and Managers are responsible for checking player shin pads.

Disputes

All disputes need to be raised at the time (or on the day) of the dispute. These should be raised verbally to a committee representative of your local club, or if unavailable, to a committee member from the KSA. Disputes need to be formally captured in writing (eg: email with a date/ time) and submitted within 24 hours of the occurrence. Late disputes may not be accepted.
